| There has
been both positive and negative
connotations with regard to the use Ouija Boards. Some say that
using them leaves the user open to being influenced by evil demons
or spirits and others say they can open the door to contact with the
dead or with dead friends or relatives.
Basically a Ouija Board is a
board with letters of the alphabet on it and one or more players
place their fingers lightly on an upturned wine glass or coin placed
on the board. A spirit (usually a dead friend or relative) is
summoned and is asked questions and the upturned wine glass or coin
is moved around the board until it comes to rest on a letter, the
letter is then recorded. The procedure is repeated and it is noted
if a coherent message is created from each question. The following
is a further discussion on the value of using Ouija Boards:
Ouija boards do produce results for some
people but we suspect that a lot of results for others come from the
participants subconscious minds and from thought forms formed by the
participants themselves rather than contact with the dead. It's
difficult and rare for people in the physical universe to
communicate with the dead.
You are most likely to meet with the dead
during a conscious out-of-body experience (astral projection) and it
will most probably come out of the blue when you are not expecting
it rather than when you are trying to meet with a dead friend or
relative using a Ouija Board.
Remember, the dead are not so different as
you and I in fact they are you and I. If you were dead to the
physical universe but alive in the astral universe - you may find
yourself not really interested meeting with people who are still
physical. You know that you will see them shortly when they die and
their is so much to do in the astral. It's difficult for the dead to
make their presence felt by the living, so from their point of view
- why bother.
Also when you do have an out-of-body
experience and meet with someone who has died, chances are they
won't be a friend or relative. They will probably be polite but not
overly interested in talking with you at length, much the same as a
stranger would be here on earth.
So all this having been said, wouldn't it
be more productive to spend your time attempting astral projection -
at least if you do meet with a dead person, you will be able to see,
communicate with and touch them. After all when you achieve a
conscious astral projection, your body is the same as theirs.
