There has been  both positive and negative connotations with regard to the use Ouija Boards. Some say that using them leaves the user open to being influenced by evil demons or spirits and others say they can open the door to contact with the dead or with dead friends or relatives. Basically a Ouija Board is a board with letters of the alphabet on it and one or more players place their fingers lightly on an upturned wine glass or coin placed on the board. A spirit (usually a dead friend or relative) is summoned and is asked questions and the upturned wine glass or coin is moved around the board until it comes to rest on a letter, the letter is then recorded. The procedure is repeated and it is noted if a coherent message is created from each question. By the way Jane Roberts started communicating with the Seth entity using a ouija board.
